Our agency was founded in 1996 and we’ve been climbing ever since. Back then, after decades of honing their crafts in the trenches, three brothers joined forces to launch the agency. Their combination of experience in retail and media proved to be a winning formula. The Medina brothers, AKA Media brothers, gained insider knowledge that can only be gleaned by working in-house for the media.

Medina Communications found early success in driving sales results with advanced media buying methodologies and tenacious negotiating skills. As the agency grew, so did the collective buying power of all their clients' combined budgets which tipped the scales further to the advantage of the agency's media buyers. Even highly optimized media buys can not be effective without a solid sales strategy and breakthrough creative messaging.

If you're not an only child, you know a thing or two about sibling rivalry. The competition between the brothers fostered rapid growth for the agency along with heated debates about the direction of the company. The founders of Medina Communications decided to branch out and start a publishing company called Mile High Sports Magazine. A few years later, one of the Medina brothers went with the magazine when the companies split.

In the early 2000s, the agency brought on a greenhorn, fresh out of art school, and started mentoring the agency's philosophies of driving results. This young art director seized the opportunity to expand the agency's creative services beyond video production and graphic design, to web design and social media. With the agency principals' support and a focus on innovation, this art director turned creative director helped the agency remain at the forefront of digital advertising.

In 2025, after the retirement of one of the Medina brothers, that creative director became a partner at the agency, and the name Medina Communications became less applicable. Building on their Colorado roots, their Denver homebase, and their drive to help clients reach new heights with their businesses, Lead Climber Marketing was born. Our company is proud to be going on over 30 years in business and we can't wait to see where the next 30 years will take us.
